Purpose Bound · Ages 13–18

Find your direction.
Own your future.

A 12-week programme helping young people explore who they are, what matters to them and where they want to go next — building confidence, purpose and a practical sense of direction along the way.

Purpose, not pressure

You don’t need to have your whole life figured out.

Purpose Bound gives young people space to think about the questions that can get lost in the rush of school, exams and everyday life: Who am I? What am I good at? What matters to me? What could my future look like?

It is designed to help young people build a stronger sense of self, recognise their strengths, explore possibilities and turn ideas about the future into meaningful next steps.

Is this for me?

Purpose Bound could be for you if…

There is no single “type” of young person who needs Purpose Bound. It is for young people who would benefit from time, support and new experiences to think more confidently about themselves and their future.

01

“I’m not sure what I want yet.”

Explore interests, values, strengths and possibilities without being expected to already have the answer.

02

“I know I can do more.”

Build self-belief and recognise the qualities, experiences and abilities you already bring with you.

03

“I need a clearer plan.”

Turn ambitions into realistic goals, next steps and actions you can keep building on after the programme.

04

“I want to see what’s possible.”

Broaden your view of future pathways, opportunities and the people or experiences that can help you move forward.

The 12-week journey

Start with you.
Build towards what’s next.

What you build

More than an idea of “what job do I want?”

Purpose Bound is about giving young people useful things they can carry forward — in education, relationships, decisions and future opportunities.

  • A clearer understanding of your strengths, values and interests
  • Greater confidence to talk about yourself and what you want
  • A broader view of future pathways and possibilities
  • Goals and practical next steps that feel relevant to you
  • A personal direction you can continue developing after the programme

How it works

Interactive. Practical. Built around young people.

Purpose Bound is designed to feel active and relevant — not like another lesson. Sessions combine discussion, reflection, practical activities and opportunities to apply ideas to real life.

12 weekly sessions

A structured journey with enough time to build trust, explore ideas properly and create meaningful next steps.

Cohort-based

Young people learn alongside others, hearing different perspectives while still developing their own individual direction.

Real-world focus

Activities connect self-belief and purpose to education, skills, opportunities and decisions beyond the programme.

Who we want to reach

Ambition exists everywhere. Access does not.

The Ambitions Foundation exists to support children and young people facing social or economic barriers to opportunity. Purpose Bound is designed for young people aged 13–18 who could benefit from additional space, support, networks and experiences to think positively about their future.
